The TravelRest Bournemouth is a football fans.
The Bournemouth Christmas market this year opens the 18th November all the way up until the 31st December. The Bournemouth Christmas market is inspired by traditional German markets and decorated in beautiful lights. The stalls sell seasonal gifts, handmade crafts and festive food. As well as the festive shopping opportunities there is The German Charcoal BBQ Bratwurst House where you can enjoy a variety of traditional German sausages cooked on a traditional swing grill. The Moose Bar will also be back this year where you can find mulled wine and roasted chestnuts which you can enjoy while listening to the live entertainment and soaking up the atmosphere.
On top of the Christmas market there is also the annual outdoor ice rink located in lower Bournemouth Gardens. The rink has blankets, mulled wine and fantastic food to create a really cosy atmosphere around the rink. The Snow Globe is another feature of Christmas in Bournemouth, following the success of last year, with a huge inflatable snow globe being located in various locations around Bournemouth where you can step inside and leave with a free photo to take home. The locations include Lansdowne, The Triangle, Old Christchurch Road and Westover Road.
The Nutcracker trail is also featuring this year with twenty Nutcracker King Statues dotted around Bournemouth, Boscombe, Southbourne and Westbourne which are part of a competition to find them all. You will need to find a minimum of ten Nutcracker Kings to be eligible to enter the competition and when you find the statues you will need to write down their name and location in the trail booklet and then post it into one of the six Santa's post-boxes marked on the trail map. Entering the competition gives you the chance to win an iPad mini. The idea of the nutcracker trail is to get families and young people visiting areas around Bournemouth.
