We established TravelRest in 2000 specifically to provide comfortable and affordable accommodation within interesting buildings that were not too large and impersonal but were sufficiently sized to meet the needs of the modern traveller. We hope that our first venture at Fareham, Hampshire has achieved that aim. Judging from customer feedback we would like to think so. As one anonymous reviewer stated – TravelRest Solent Gateway is a pleasant alternative to a small friendly B&B and a large impersonal travel budget Hotel. Our mission is "To offer budget guest accommodation with a difference; which is considered stylish, modern and individual, yet at pricing which promotes value beyond that expected from the budget hotel market." lWe are delighted to announce the opening of the new conservatory at TravelRest Solent Gateway. With wonderful views over the gardens this fantastic addition to the premises is the ideal location for a leisurely breakfast and relaxing with a drink in the lounge area. The new residents bar will be opening in August 2011providing yet further services. Three new bedrooms also at TravelRest Solent Gateway are now complete. One offers facilities for those with disabilities. All rooms are located on the ground floor, enabling easy access and are ensuite and overlook the side or front gardens. We are often asked if there are any other “TravelRest” in the UK. We are pleased to announce that we will have an associate hotel joining us very soon. Please watch this space for details.
